Marvin Harrison Jr. is out to prove that his best football is still ahead of him. With a fresh start with the Houston Texans, the third-year wide receiver has a chance to silence his critics and unlock his untapped potential.

Harrison, who has had a mediocre campaign, grew unhappy with the Arizona Cardinals, prompting them to send him to the Texans, along with a sixth-round pick, in exchange for a second-round pick and a seventh-round pick.

Before his anticipated debut with the Texans, videos of his supposed lack of effort on routes have spread on social media, with many calling him lazy.

“Everybody has their own opinions. It’s really the best way I can put that. Everybody has their own opinions and how they’re gonna gather information,” said Harrison in a video posted by ESPN’s DJ Bien-Aime.

“I know who I am as a player. I know how I am as a person. Whatever people wanna label me or think of me, that’s their opinion”

In four games, the 24-year-old pass-catcher has logged five receptions on 13 targets for 85 yards and one touchdown.

His numbers have regressed since his promise-filled rookie year in 2024. The Cardinals drafted him with the No. 4 pick.

With the Texans, Harrison was reunited with CJ Stroud, a talented quarterback who knows his game well.

Harrison is expected to suit up against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday. Houston is looking to claim its second win after snapping its four-game losing skid in Week 5.
