It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Timmy Horne, and that continued Friday.
One day after being signed to the Titans practice squad after being released from the 53-man roster to make room for defensive tackle Jonah Laulu, Horne was re-signed to the active roster to fill the spot that opened up when general manager Mike Borgonzi surprisingly traded Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears.
This move makes a ton of sense, given Horne’s familiarity with the defense and the fact that he has been active on game day for the past two games, recording five total tackles, while rookie Jackie Marshall has been a healthy scratch all season.
With Horne likely to see more snaps this week, it also wouldn’t be a surprise to see Marshall get a helmet for the first time in 2026 and possibly jump into the rotation while Laulu gets up to speed in the new scheme after coming over from Las Vegas.
Horne and the Titans will be back on the field on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Cincinnati to face the Bengals in Week 8 action.
