ATLANTA — Tennessee defensive lineman Daevin Hobbs left the Georgia Tech game with an injury in the first quarter on Sept. 12.
Hobbs was shaken up on a play with 11:14 remaining in the opening quarter. After lying on the turf for a couple of minutes, he walked slowly off the field on his own power and went directly to the injury tent.
It appeared to be a lower body injury. Hobbs was limited in preseason practice by a foot injury.
Hobbs is an important piece of UT’s defensive line rotation. The senior has played in 33 games in his Vols career.
