Domenico Tedesco has officially signed his contract to become Bologna8217;s new head coach.
Bologna announced he will take over following Vincenzo Italiano’s departure, and he has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with the option for an extra year.
Tedesco landed in Bologna on Tuesday for his first official day at the club and will officially be presented to the club on Thursday.
The 40-year-old was most recently in charge of Fenerbahce from September 2025 until April this year, winning the Turkish Super Cup during that time.

He took charge of 45 matches at Fenerbahce, winning 26 of his games (D12 L7). His 57.8% win rate at the club is the highest he has managed at any team during his career.
Tedesco has also previously taken charge of Schalke and RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga as well as the Belgian national team, leading them at Euro 2024.
Overall, he has overseen 247 matches in his managerial career (W124 D56 L67), with his teams scoring 417 goals.
Last season, Bologna finished eighth in Serie A, missing out on European qualification, while they were also knocked out in the quarter-finals of both the Europa League and the Coppa Italia.
