The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has announced a power outage in parts of Kogi, Edo and Ondo States.

TCN, in a statement on Monday, said the outage is due to its annual maintenance at the 330/132kV Ajaokuta Substation.

TCN stressed that the exercise would prevent the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, and Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) from supplying electricity to their customers in parts of the three states.

According to TCN, the exercise will enable its crew to carry out preventive maintenance on the 162MVA, 330/132kV power transformer, associated switchgear and ancillary equipment at the substation.
