WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Despite a seven hit game from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, the Railriders came up empty-handed in Saturday’s game falling to the Syracuse Mets 5-0.

Syracuse would get started in the bottom of the first inning as JiHwan Bae shot a solo homer to get things rolling for the Mets.

In the bottom of the third, the Mets prospect Ryan Clifford would crush a two run homer to extend the Mets’ lead to 3-0.

The Mets added one in the sixth off an RBI double from Christian Pache, and in the seventh a wild pitch from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre would make it a 5-0 Syracuse ball game.

The Railriders are back in action on Sunday for their final game in this Mini Subway Series. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m.
