Stud 49ers defender ejected from Week 5 matchup vs. Seahawks

The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have an extensive history that includes a lot of bad blood, and that spilled over in the first half of their Week 5 matchup at Lumen Field.

In the second quarter, with the 49ers up 14-10, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold scrambled for five yards and ran out of bounds. However, as he got to the sidelines, 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw hit him down.

Greenlaw was flagged for the late hit, and after the play, he was surrounded by the Seahawks on the sideline and headbutted Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV. As a result, Greenlaw was ejected from the game.

That was a dumb decision by Greenlaw, and it leaves the 49ers thin at linebacker, leaving them with Fred Warner, Jaden Dugger, Garret Wallow and Luke Gifford in the second-level of their defense.
