Stephen Jones: Jalen Thompson could miss 4-6 weeks with hamstring injury

Sunday’s loss was costly for the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to being the losing team, the Cowboys lost a handful of players to injuries.

Whether or not the field in Brazil was the primary culprit was a matter up for serious debate both before and during the game on the CBS broadcast, but whatever the case, the Cowboys have players who are banged up.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones joined 105.3 The Fan on Monday and when he did he noted that Jalen Thompson, who exited the game with a hamstring injury after a bad-looking bend, could potentially miss 4-6 weeks. That would, obviously, make him a candidate for injured reserve.

The Cowboys already have one safety on injured reserve in P.J. Locke. Malik Hooker has also been hurt, and it remains to be seen when he will be able to return.

Things hardly get easier for the Cowboys in the immediate future. They have a road game this week in Houston, so not terribly far, and then a short week next week as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night.
