Sophie Cunningham impressed when she took to the court during the Indiana Fever’s recent win over the Minnesota Lynx.
The Fever previously fell to defeat at the hands of the Washington Mystics, during which game Cunningham failed to score a single point.
However, her game was much improved on Tuesday, scoring 11 points as the Fever beat the Lynx 96-77.
Now, Stephanie White has praised Sophie’s activity level on the defensive end, her aggressiveness, and her communication during Indiana’s latest outing.

When attending the post-game press conference, the Fever coach was asked: “Sophie’s response to last game of her coming out. I think she had, you know, 11 points or whatever it was off the bench. Just, what did you see from her and just, I’m assume impressed with and pleased with how she responded?”
She responded: “Yeah, I mean, number one, we found her. You know, we made a conscious effort to make the extra pass.
“We made a conscious effort to see the open person and we found her and she stepped up and knocked them down.
“I thought her activity level on the defensive end and her aggressiveness was really good. Her communication was really good. So, yeah, proud of that bounce back.”
Cunningham, despite often being used off the bench, has the fourth-highest average in the Fever’s squad so far this season (8.0).
She has also been put forward by her team for the WNBA Sixth Player of the Year award.
