Star Trek's Official Advent Calendar Is Here, And Fans Will Love What's Inside

Tis’ the season for advent calendars, and this year, Trekkies can join in on the fun with an officially licensed Star Trek Advent Calendar. Going above and beyond the usual holiday treats, this calendar is packed with gifts that fans will love, with one especially exciting detail: it has something for fans of every Star Trek era.

Advent calendars are one of the most fun holiday traditions, offering a special way to count down the days until Christmas. Traditionally beginning on December 1, these calendars feature 24 numbered compartments, each containing a unique gift to open throughout the month, with the final one opened on Christmas Eve. However, some advent calendars, particularly those featuring higher-quality collectibles, opt for 12 compartments and gifts instead.

While advent calendars have been around for decades, they seem to get more elaborate with each passing year. More and more franchises are joining in on the holiday fun, releasing their own themed calendars filled with unique gifts for fans. This year, Star Trek is joining the tradition with an officially licensed advent calendar from Insight Editions.

The 12 Days of Star Trek Advent Calendar is available exclusively from Insight Editions for $150, with limited quantities available.

Insight Editions is an independent publisher of books and collectibles with official licenses for some of the world’s biggest entertainment brands, including Harry Potter, Disney, and DC Comics. Among its many major partnerships is Star Trek, and this holiday season, the publisher is offering fans the 12 Days of Star Trek Advent Calendar.

Insight Editions’ exclusive Star Trek Advent Calendar is truly something special. Modeled after an Enterprise-D shuttlecraft, the calendar stands out with its visually stunning exterior. However, it’s the teased items inside that Trekkies will really love. Insight Editions’ website says each of the 12 collectibles in the advent calendar is “a high-quality item that has been crafted especially for this advent calendar, making it the perfect gift for even the most demanding Trek fan.”

These collectibles are high-quality items, some even handcrafted, which is unsurprising given that Insight Editions specializes in them. The quality of the gifts may also explain why the advent calendar features only 12 compartments rather than the traditional 24. While Insight Editions doesn’t list every collectible fans can find inside, the publisher does reveal several items. So, if you want to be completely surprised, skip the next paragraph.

Insight Editions reveals some of the items that can be found inside: “a Starship Enterprise bottle opener and Klingon warship bookmark, a monstrous bottle stopper, solid metal Starfleet ice cubes, a shot glass straight from a starship bar, a spongey shuttle stress toy, a signed limited-edition print, and more.” The publisher also provides an image revealing all the items included in the advent calendar. However, to avoid spoiling the surprises, we’ve placed the image at the very end of this article, so proceed with caution if you’d rather not see what’s inside.

The signed collector’s print is particularly tempting, given that it is teased as an exclusive, limited-edition print hand-signed specifically for this set. Perhaps most importantly, though, there’s something inside the advent calendar for every Star Trek fan, regardless of their preferred era. The contents reflect every era of the franchise, from the original 1968 series to The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, Discovery, and beyond. With so much variety packed inside, it will be hard for Star Trek fans to pass up this advent calendar.
