From Red Raiders to Redbirds, the St. Louis Cardinals have drafted 1B Caden Ferraro with their final pick on day 1 of the 2026 Amateur draft. Ferraro slashed .374/.481/.604 this year for Texas Tech with 8 HR. Obviously, as a corner infielder, all of the pressure is on the bat to carry him to the big leagues. Ferraro will have the chance to compete with Jack Gurevitch and Josh Kross as the potential 1B of the future in the Gateway to the West!
