Cardiff and Newport are now the only unbeaten sides left in Super Rygbi Cymru this season after both sides made it four wins from four.

The Blue and Blacks laid down a huge marker at Ebbw Vale, also previously unbeaten, with a comprehensive 59-14 win.

It was in the balance at just 12-7 at the break after hooker Alun Rees and full-back Matty Young crossed for the visitors, and centre Dominic Franchi claimed a try for Ebbw.

But Cardiff then ran riot as Young struck again in sensational fashion, and second row Tom Cottle, prop Joe Cowell, winger Dewi Cross (2) and replacements Sion Davies and Joe Goodchild all crossed – with Lloyd Lucas (6) and Rhys Cummings adding conversions.

The home side’s second try came through Joseph Rees-Weldon, as Kai Kinsey kicked four points.

Newport, meanwhile, hammered Carmarthen Quins 52-24.

Henry Palmer (2), Finlay Baker, Hunter Ward, Kobi Rees, and William Ford went over to make it 40-0 at the break, before Wade Langley and Sam Morgan added second-half scores, while Ford notched six conversions.

The visitors did fight back to earn a bonus point though, as Joe Denman, Carwyn Legget-Jones, Eilir George and Luca Giannini scored tries and Legget-Jones goaled two of them.

Swansea stay bottom after blowing a 26-5 lead to draw with Bridgend.

The winless visitors looked to be cruising through tries from Matthew Aubrey (2), Jamie Cox, and Lewis Edwards, plus three Josh Phillips conversions.

But Dominiko Manaseitava scored twice for the Ravens, and Ryan Wilkins also crossed to get them within seven points. Then with time running out, Nicholas Fisk-Jones touched down and Fraser Jones crucially added his third conversion to level matters.

It was dramatic at Pontypool as they hung on to beat RGC 31-26.

Ieuan Cornelius was sent-off early for the visitors, and Pooler capitalised through two tries from flying winger Carrick McDonough, while Mark Jones and Buster Bodkin also crossed as Kieran Meek booted 11 points.

But the visitors stayed in it as Sam Jones and namesake Williams had tries, while former Scarlets man Billy McBride kicked 16 points to seal a bonus point.

Llandovery racked up the points against Aberavon, winning 66-21.

Thomas Hughes, Tiaan Sparrow and Llien Morgan all starred with try braces, while Ioan Hughes scored 14 points with the boot, as The Drovers went above their visitors into fourth place.
