No. 2 South Dakota State is in its final non-conference game of the 2026 season, this time hosting Eastern Illinois. The Jackrabbits will be without starting quarterback Chase Mason for the game.

South Dakota State (3-1) took down No. 11 Youngstown State 27-20 a week ago behind a stifling defense and dominant run game. The Panthers are also closing their non-conference schedule, one that included three other Missouri Valley teams — Murray State, Indiana State and Illinois State — and a Big Ten foe — Minnesota.
