Solheim Cup weather update: Rain, gusty winds expected at Bernardus in The Netherlands

For fans attending the 2026 Solheim Cup this week, get ready for some wet conditions.

The rains arrived Wednesday and were so loud at points during press conferences that players could hardly hear questions being asked at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands. The 20th edition of the biennial competition begins Friday, but the weather forecasts are calling for similar conditions the rest of the week.

Thursday’s weather forecast calls for fog in the morning and a chance of isolated showers throughout the day. Friday, the first day of competition, will see cloudy conditions with a 40 percent chance of rain.

Saturday looks like the best weather day, with only a 20 percent chance of rain and a high of 69 and light winds.

Sunday Singles could be miserable for players and fans alike. A 70 percent chance of rain, gusty winds and slightly cooler temperatures will challenge golfers and players alike.

Rain gear will be a premium this week, and for fans biking to and from the course, having an umbrella handy would be a smart plan, too.
