The Seattle Seahawks suffered a 34-17 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 8, and were not able to put together a complete performance despite several promising moments throughout the contest. Seattle showed flashes of potential on both sides of the ball but ultimately were not able to keep pace with Chicago.
The game featured plenty of exciting moments, particularly along the defensive line, where Jarran Reed, Byron Murphy and Leonard Williams generated a collective effort of brilliant tackles, multiple tackles for loss and pressure. On offense, Sam Darnold delivered a gorgeous 43-yard touchdown connection to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, giving Seahawks fans a highlight to remember. Despite those explosive plays, Seattle struggled to sustain its momentum and ultimately came up short.
The Seahawks defense was unable to slow down Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who consistently found success against Seattle’s defense. Williams finished the game completing 24-34 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown. On the other side of things, Darnold completed 17-34 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns but threw yet another interception, contributing to Seattle’s disappointing defeat.

That’s it. Caleb & Ben just toyed with Seattle’s D in Seattle. Mismatch. Game over. Bears win this one easily. Darnold will now press, throw 3 picks.

not denying the fact that it was a great win, but the seahawks just aren’t what they were last year

I do not believe the #Seahawks are contenders with this offense
Needs to be fixed quickly if 2026 is going to be as successful as we had hoped

Defenses know he’s the guy they need to stop, and he’s still putting up these numbers. Incredible!

#Seahawks it’s time to make some moves. This team is not a Super Bowl contender at least not for now. Changes need to happen
