Anderson faces off against one of the best teams in its district Friday, traveling to Spring Branch to take on Smithson Valley. The Rangers (5-0) have steamrolled their first five opponents, allowing no more than 14 points a game and scoring at least 45 in each outing.
Anderson’s air attack has been incredibly productive. Quarterback Covert Darbyshire has thrown 14 touchdowns to three interceptions and averages 315.8 passing yards per game, with wide receivers Kyler Sharp and Jay Fullmer as his main targets. On the other side of the ball, the Trojans defense will be hard-pressed to stop the Rangers.
