‘Shocked they let him say that’ – NFL fans stunned by Chris Russo’s Jalen Hurts rant on ESPN

Despite the NFL’s best efforts to provide some clarity over Jalen Hurts’ health situation, their answers simply are not washing with some in the media.

The Philadelphia Eagles have learned they will not receive punishment after their quarterback was allowed to fly and play in London despite having an ongoing health issue. That issue has now worsened with Hurts out for the season with blood clots on his lungs.

A number of the NFL’s media members are still not satisfied with the explanations on offer and Chris Russo certainly falls into that category.

“One thing, if I may, about this whole thing with Hurts: the Eagles did a horrendous job, okay? I’m going to believe the NFL now? That doesn’t have grass fields, that didn’t do anything with CTE until they were forced to, and that wants to play an 18 game for the safety of the players when they want to play another game. The NFL now is saying, “Well, we didn’t do anything wrong. The Eagles were great with this.” I don’t trust them,” Russo said on First Take.

Having heard Russo’s fiery rant on live television, many were stunned that ESPN allowed him to go after the NFL in the manner that he did.

NFL fans shocked by Chris Russo’s ESPN rant over Jalen Hurts

‘Mad Dog isn’t really wrong here, especially with them throwing Sirianni out there,’ replied one NFL fan on X after watching the footage.

‘I usually don’t agree with Mad Dog, but he didn’t tell one lie,’ said another.

‘Shocked they let him say that’

There is clearly a feeling that the NFL has taken very little time to assess what is a very serious situation regarding Hurts’ wellbeing. The quarterback was allowed to fly to and from London despite having a known health concern.

‘He’s 1000 percent correct. Well said,’ replied one fan.

‘Idk if I’ll ever get to say this again… shoutout to Mad Dog man,’ another fan conceded.

It is clear to see that not many NFL fans often agree with what Russo has to say on air but this is an argument they feel he absolutely nailed. Player safety has to come at the very top for the NFL and they appear to have massively overlooked it on this occasion.

‘I’m shocked they let him say that on ESPN,’ said one NFL fan.

‘Everytime this dude comes on my TV I turn it right off, but Mad Dog is absolutely spot on,’ another said.
