Sharon pitcher Vogan leads 20 District 10 all-state softball picks

District 10 had another successful softball season, including a deep run by Sharon to the PIAA Class 3A championship game. As a result of another competitive year in District 10, 20 players were named to the Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association all-state teams.

Sharon star junior Maddy Vogan was not only named to the first team as a pitcher, she was also named the Class 3A player of the year. She leads a total of eight first-team selections, including teammate Olivia Schneider at shortstop and Corry outfielder Mahra Goodwill in 3A.

McDowell standout first baseman Bella Zaczyk was named to the first team in Class 6A, while Harbor Creek teammates Kayla Bresee (catcher) and Brooklynn Cipalla (outfielder) was named first team in 4A. Saegertown pitcher Hailey Obenrader and Seneca catcher Haylee Farrell were first-team picks in Class 2A.

District 10 had 12 selections on the second team with a heavy presence in Class 2A. Pitcher Angelina Eakman (Mercer), pitcher Jaidin Frayer (Cochranton), third baseman Mallory Hammill (Seneca), shortstop Tori Obenrader (Saegertown), outfielder Avery Harlan (Wilmington) and utility player Jocelyn Jordan (Mercyhurst Prep) were all named to the Class 2A team.

Cambridge Springs teammates Kayla Crawford (pitcher) and Jaydan Simmons (third base) were named to the Class 1A second team, while Hickory pitcher AJ Jarzab and Sharon first baseman Mya Bundrant were named to the Class 3A second team.

Harbor Creek pitcher Addison Lucas (Class 4A) and McDowell third baseman Mya Kaliszewski (Class 6A) round out the D-10 all-state selections.
