Dana White has scored perhaps his most notable signing to date for Zuffa Boxin, with Ring Magazine officially announcing that Shakur Stevenson (25-0, 11 KOs) has signed a promotional deal with the company. There has been plenty rumors over the last couple of months that this would wind up being the case, but today it’s official.

Naturally this signing will have most fans wondering what this means for Stevenson’s future, as Zuffa’s stable is still pretty thin, particularly with regards to true world class fighters. That being said, some believe this could be a precursor to a potential fight between Stevenson and Devin Haney, who has also been rumored to be signing a deal with the new promotional outfit. That fight, however, seems to have had at least some difficulties after Stevenson proposed a 144 lb catchweight fight with Haney, only to go incommunicado once he accepted those terms.
Stevenson currently holds the WBO super lightweight title, coming off a dominant showing over Teofimo Lopez this past January.
