Seven wins aren't enough

There’s no place like home!

Admittedly, things haven’t quite gone to plan on the road for our boys this season, but our record at the Red Bull Arena couldn’t be better. On Saturday evening, the team will have the chance to set a new club record on home soil.

We’ve won both of our Bundesliga home games so far this season, scoring eight goals without conceding. RBL could now win their first three home league games of a season for just the second time, having previously done so in 2020/21.On top of that, victory over Frankfurt would see us set a new club record of eight consecutive Bundesliga home wins, stretching back to last season!

There are plenty of reasons to feel optimistic ahead of Saturday evening. For starters, the memories of Frankfurt’s last visit to the Red Bull Arena are still fresh. Our 6-0 victory last season was one of those nights that will live long in the memory. We also beat Eintracht home and away for the first time ever in 2025/26. In fact, we didn’t have a better record against any other side in the Bundesliga last season. Then there’s our remarkable record in October: RBL have never lost a Bundesliga home game in the month. Our 16 matches have produced 13 wins and three draws, with an impressive 44 goals scored and just eight conceded.

Head coach Martín Demichelis has plenty of faith in his players. “I have confidence in this squad,” he stressed recently.Micho also made it clear that the players need to believe in themselves: “The players need to have that same confidence in themselves and believe they can play well anywhere, whether it’s at home or away. It’s about showing the same passion in everything you do.”Because as special as a new home record would be, what we’d really like to do on Saturday evening is start a winning run that extends beyond the Red Bull Arena.
