Cristian Chivu and his reigning Serie A champions will look to maintain their perfect start to the 2026-27 season when Massimiliano Allegri and Napoli take on Inter in San Siro on Saturday evening.
Kick off is due at 17.00 this evening.
The Nerazzurri have won both of their first two matches of the new season, defeating newly-promoted Monza 4-1 in the opening round before rising to a 1-0 victory away against Cagliari last weekend.

Allegri got his Napoli career off to a winning start with a late 2-0 win over Genoa in his first competitive match since leaving Milan at the end of last season, but the Partenopei were defeated 2-1 at home against Como last time out.

England international John Stones could be in line for his first Serie A start after joining on a free transfer at the end of his Manchester City tenure earlier this summer, potentially at the expense of his former City teammate Manuel Akanji.

It is still likely to be one too soon for either Curtis Jones or Djed Spence in the Inter starting line-up. The former Liverpool midfielder was introduced for his Nerazzurri debut against Cagliari last weekend, but a midfield three of Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu and Piotr Zielinski has been predicted by Sky Sport Italia.
As has been the case for the last two Serie A matches, Lautaro Martinez and Pio Esposito are expected to lead the line.
Napoli will be without star midfielder Scott McTominay for several weeks as he is set to have a heart procedure to resolve an arrhythmia issue. Though Kevin De Bruyne is available, Antonio Vergara is also in contention to start in midfield in place of the Scotland international.

Matteo Politano and Rasmus Hojlund are expected to keep their places in the Napoli attack, but there is a chance that Alisson Santos replaces Noa Lang on the left wing.
