Section 1 flag football all-section picks as made by the coaches

Two Section 1 teams made it to the state flag football semifinals, as Class C champion Westlake/Briarcliff and Class B champion Yorktown each traveled to Cortland and Homer for the state final four.

Westlake lost on a pick-six in overtime to Shoreham-Wading River in a state semifinal and Yorktown beat Fayetteville-Manlius to win its first ever state Class B title.

Section 1’s Class A champion is Mamaroneck, which fell in the regional final round of the state tournament.

Section 1 recently named its postseason honors and all-section teams for the 2026 season, as selected by the coaches. Here are the selections.
