The Streak is 70 seasons strong

MCMINNVILLE, OR — Linfield University’s football program has made history again. With a 41-0 victory over Pacific Lutheran University on Saturday, the Wildcats secured their 70th consecutive winning season, extending the longest streak of winning seasons in college football history across all divisions.

The milestone extends a run that began in 1956. Since then, Linfield has compiled a 566-126-10 record, winning 81% of its games. The Wildcats have maintained that success across seven decades of college football, establishing a record of sustained winning unmatched at any level of the sport.

Brody Hillman, No.40, of Seaside, Oregon, is a long snapper for the Wildcats. Hillman is currently a senior at Linfield, majoring in

exercise science. He previously played at Seaside High School.

On Hillman’s roster page, he said he’s learned a lot while competing at Linfield. “The greatest lesson I have learned is to ‘do your job.’ I’ve come to realize that many things in life start with taking responsibility for your role, no matter how big or small,” Hillman said. “Being able to stay focused and handle whatever is in front of me, I contribute to something bigger than myself.

He also pointed to his dad for inspiration. “The greatest inspiration in my life has been my father. From never missing a game, to showing me important life lessons, he’s shown me what it means to be dedicated, selfless, and strong. His constant love and support are shaping me into the man I strive to become, he’s truly Mr. Unlimited.”
