The Seahawks have made a few moves in advance of Wednesday night’s season opener against the Patriots.
Seattle announced the club has signed safety AJ Finely to the 53-man roster off of the practice squad. To make room on the roster, the club waived guard Bryce Cabeldue.
Finley adds depth to the defensive backfield with starting safety Ty Okada out with a hamstring injury and defensive back Nick Emmanwori (ankle) listed as questionable for the contest.
Finley appeared in four games for the Seahawks last year, mainly playing special teams.
Additionally, the team has elevated safety Rodney Thomas II and running back Velus Jones Jr. from the practice squad to the gameday roster.
Kickoff for the season opener is slated for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
