MEDINAH, IL – Presidents Cup International Team Captain Geoff Ogilvy said on Wednesday that what happens in the team room, stays in the team room. But what happens on the team bus appears to be fair game and going viral in the golf social media community.
Will Wilcox, the caddie for International Team member Sungjae Im, posted a video of British Open champion Ryan Fox singing karaoke on the team’s long bus ride as fellow team member Tom Kim catches a nap.
Fox, a New Zealand native, is singing the Kenny Rogers hit “The Gambler.” Kudos to Skratch Golf’s Claire Rogers on bringing the video to the masses.
Fox, a 39-year-old Presidents Cup rookie, lost his debut match with Adam Scott on Thursday in a four-ball match. He’s scheduled to play in the third match of Friday’s foursomes with Min Woo Lee against Collin Morikawa and Wyndham Clark of the U.S.
Kim is partnering with Si Woo Kim for the second straight and will face Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.
