In the NIL era, recruiting is as fluid as it has ever been.
The recruitment of top-75 prospect offensive tackle Caden Moss is another example of that. After being linked to Ole Miss for the majority of recruitment, Moss announced his commitment to Ryan Day and Ohio State football on Friday, June 26.
Moss is ranked as the No. 70 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class in the USA TODAY Composite Ranking and the No. 6 offensive lineman. He committed to the Buckeyes over finalists in the Rebels, as well as Oregon and Kentucky.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman was the starting left tackle for Jackson Academy (Jackson, Mississippi), which went 11-1 and won its first state title since 2011 during his junior season.
He is also a standout track-and-field and basketball athlete for Jackson Academy.
Moss joins offensive linemen Kellen Wymer, Mason Wilt, Jimmy Kalis and Davis Seaman in the Buckeyes’ recruiting class.
