Liverpool have got several transfer loose ends to tie up before the transfer window closes.

Deals are live for both Bradley Barcola and Yankuba Minteh as Andoni Iraola and Richard Hughes seek to overhaul the 2024/25 Premier League champions’ wide forward options.

Barcola would be a nine-figure signing from Paris Saint-Germain with the 23-year-old France international believed to have expressed preference for a move to Anfield.

Minteh, 22, was the subject of two failed bids from Merseyside last week and could be a legitimate deal if the Reds’ sporting director meets Brighton’s £70m demands.

Harvey Elliott future to be decided

However it is not just incoming business that needs to be wrapped up.

Plenty of outgoings are expected with the likes of Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott still usure of their futures.

Manchester City and Tottenham want a deal for Gakpo, Chiesa is wanted by Inter Milan and Roma while up to now the trail for Elliott has been somewhat cold.

Under contract only until 2027 a resolution needs to be found for the 23-year-old – who found himself out of the squad for the opening day of the season.

AC Milan ready to throw Elliott a career lifeline

Elliott has failed to take his preseason chance under Andoni Iraola following his return to the club after a disappointing loan stint at Aston Villa.

It looks as though Ruben Amorim is going to throw the left-footer a career lifeline however. Because Corriere dello Sport – via Milan Reports – states that AC Milan’s new coach is seeking an opportunistic deal for the playmaker in the final days of the window.

Harvey Elliott ticks all the boxes for Amorim

“Ruben Amorim has asked for a left-footed attacking midfielder who can play on the right,” the report reads.

“Keep an eye on Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz and Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott, both of whom could decide to change clubs in search of more playing time.”

Amorim was heavily linked with the Liverpool job back in 2024 before Arne Slot was confirmed as head coach.

Somewhat ironically it was the Portuguese manager’s preference for a 3-4-3 which ultimately ruled him out of contention – a formation which could fit Elliott to a tee as one of Amorim’s twin No10s behind a frontman.
