Bradley Barcola is inching closer to a move to Liverpool – but the prices being quoted are just too high to make it conceivable at the moment.

PSG have sold a couple of players already this summer, but rumours about an even bigger departure won’t go away.

Talk of Liverpool interest in Bradley Barcola has reached new levels today, with Fabrizio Romano putting out a post which very much indicates that this is a move that could happen.

Liverpool will have to break records to sign France star

The Italian transfer insider says that Liverpool have been “leading the race” for the winger since April, and are working on the deal. PSG would rather keep him, but accept he’s not first choice and may force an exit.

If he does go, they want huge money for him. Nizaar Kinsella of the BBC claims they’re looking for an insane £140m “given his age and performances for club and country.”

They’re right that they’re in a position to ask for a lot of money – but that feels an impossible sum for the Reds to pay, given their outlay last summer.

If it comes down closer to £120m, then we’ll start to believe this sale could happen. For now, PSG are fending off interest with this asking price.

In other news…

The big news yesterday came from Fabrizio Romano, who claimed that PSG have joined the chase for Rodri from Man City.

Kang-in Lee has left the club, with his €40m move to Atletico Madrid confirmed yesterday by all parties.
