Romano: PSG talks “ongoing” for €60m winger; personal terms agreed

PSG are moving fast this week after a slow start to the window. They’re pushing to sign Mika Godts from Ajax.

PSG’s transfer window so far has seen a host of sales, and until yesterday, no incoming action.

The Parisians sold off Goncalo Ramos, Kang-in Lee and Randal Kolo Muani, depleting their squad of attacking options suddenly.

The idea was always to replace them however, and yesterday’s deal to sign Maghnes Akliouche finally saw a player come in. The former Monaco man isn’t going to be the only one, however.

The Champions League holders have also engaged with Ajax over trying to sign attacker Mika Godts. Romano wrote on X that “the negotiations between PSG and Ajax for Mika Godts remain ongoing,” updating us on last week where it was revealed that the “deal on between the two clubs.”

Romano said a week ago that the 21 year old would be coming in addition to Akliouche, and all the evidence so far points to that being true. There also seems to be a pretty reasonable €60m asking price, which would be more than paid for by (for example) the €70m they got for Ramos’ sale to AC Milan.

Five days ago Romano reported that PSG’s full package was €45m. He noted that the attacker has already said yes to the move and agreed personal terms.

With Akliouche completed (also for a reasonable price) and sporting director Luis Campos’ attentions now fully focused on Godts, this deal feels just like a matter of time before it’s done.
