Roma accelerate renewal talks with Pellegrini’s entourage

Roma is ready to secure two of its key players.

Official contract renewals for Paulo Dybala and Zeki Celik are expected in the next few hours, while the situation regarding Lorenzo Pellegrini, the only remaining issue, remains to be resolved.

For Celik, who will not be present at Trigoria on July 13th due to taking some extra days off after the World Cup, everything is now finalized.

The Turkish full-back will sign a three-year contract with a salary of approximately €3 million per season, also supported by the benefits of the Decreto Crescita (Growth Decree).

Between today and tomorrow, Paulo Dybala will return to the capital, ready to begin his fifth season with Roma. The Argentine has agreed to a one-year extension with the option for a second, confirming his desire to continue his adventure with the Giallorossi.

As reported by Il Messaggero, the agreement is now finalized, with only official confirmation from the club regarding Dybala and Celik still missing. Pellegrini’s situation, however, is different.

The expected meeting between the club and the midfielder’s entourage also failed yesterday.

The mutual desire to continue together remains strong, but differences persist regarding the contract duration and salary. As Monday’s training camp approaches, the need to quickly close this deal is growing at Trigoria.

Gian Piero Gasperini will already have a depleted squad at his disposal, and the club wants to avoid further delays in bringing the captain into the fold during summer training.
