Rolly Romero vs Teofimo Lopez, Amanda Serrano, George Liddard: Boxing schedule and previews for August 21-22, 2026

From Temecula, California, for Serrano’s WBO and WBA featherweight titles. This is a first time thing, with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions putting a live card on TikTok rather than a more conventional broadcaster or streamer. Supporting action includes Jahmal Harvey,  Avious Griffin against former Top Rank undercard staple Jackson Marinez, plus Keno Marley and Nelvie Tiafack.

From Hackney Wick, England, for the vacant European middleweight title. Liddard already holds (held?) the British and Commonwealth titles at middleweight, but those obviously can’t be on the line against the Italian Morello. Morello is 26-1 (4 KO), with his only pro loss coming back in 2019 by wide decision. He fights outside of his native Italy for the first time as a professional.

ON THE UNDERCARD: Maybe Liddard dropped at least one of his other belts? Jimmy Sains appears to be fighting for the now-vacant Commonwealth title that Liddard defended his last time out. Emmanuel Buttigieg and PA Gordon also square off for the vacant English middleweight title. So, lots of vacant domestic belts at middleweight are up for grabs on this show!

From Las Vegas, Nevada, for Romero’s WBA welterweight title. Romero is the champion and the A-side, thanks to his big decision win over Ryan Garcia in May of 2025 on that less-than-thrilling Times Square card. Lopez enters fresh off a January loss to Shakur Stevenson, and moves up to welterweight here for the first time. No idea how to take this one… At his best, Lopez is an aggressive fighter, and Romero’s best asset is his power, so there could be fireworks if the lads decide to really mix it up. But both have brought yawns in recent outings and they’re also quite close as friends, which generally makes for a lousy fight. Fingers crossed, I suppose. It’ll cost you $79.99 as a standalone PPV, if that’s how you consume your big fights these days.  

ON THE UNDERCARD: Chief support sees Victor Santillan defending his interim WBA super bantamweight belt against Gary Antonio Russell. Deeper down the lineup, promising neo-Cuban (meaning, fun and knockout-generating) prospect Yoenli Hernandez faces Argentinian Francisco Verón.
