Richarlison’s proposed return to Brazil has collapsed

Brazilian international Richarlison has seen a shock return to his homeland collapse, according to the BBC.

In what is the latest turn in an ongoing summer saga, Tottenham‘s wantaway striker will not be joining Serie A outfit Vasco da Gama after a breakdown in discussions over personal terms.

While the BBC’s report might suggest that Spurs had agreed a deal for the 29-year-old, the 54-cap international is not interested in a return to his homeland and his priority remains on staying in Europe.

Although most of the European transfer markets might have slammed shut on September 1st, Brazil’s window remans open until Friday night.

With the former Everton star making it clear last month that he was desperate to force a move out of north London, Roberto De Zerbi has already confirmed that he is not part of his plans going forward.

The attacker was completely omitted from Tottenham’s Premier League squad and also saw a proposed Deadline Day return to Merseyside fail to materialise.

With discussions over his potential return to Everton once again collapsing due to a disagreement over personal terms, Richarlison finds himself at the heart of a public saga.

The BBC also reported earlier in the week that the one-time Watford youngster is in a heated dispute with the Tottenham hierarchy over the remaining nine months of his current contract.

With all parties making it abundantly clear that they are desperate to part ways, Richarlison is quickly running out of options.
