A mystery team is planning to acquire Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in a trade. However, according to Mike Chappell of FOX59, it won’t be the Indianapolis Colts who are trading for him.
Chappell says that, like many teams, the Colts did do their due diligence, but “that’s all.” The asking price, which Tom Pelissero reported as being a second-round pick and then some, was probably “too steep,” Chappell added.
“In my opinion, bringing Marv Jr to Indy would have brought unrealistic expectations, pressure,” Chappell posted on X, referencing his dad’s career with the Colts.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cardinals are “finalizing a deal” to trade Harrison, and the team informed the former fourth overall pick that he will be inactive for Sunday’s matchup with the Detroit Lions, with the details of the trade still needing to be finalized.
That said, we still don’t know which team the Cardinals are in talks with.
Schefter then added that the Cardinals are comfortable enough to know that they will be trading Harrison, but nothing will be finalized until after the Week 5 games are played.

While nothing is finalized, a potential landing spot for Harrison could be the Houston Texans, according to Schefter.
