Red Bulls’ teenage star Hall signs new four-year deal

Julian Hall has signed a new four-year deal with the New York Red Bulls after a strong start to the 2026 season.

The 18-year-old’s new contract will see him remain with the Red Bulls through to the end of the 2029-30 MLS campaign.

Hall has been one of NYRB’s better performers under Michael Bradley this term, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 21 MLS games.

He has directly contributed to more goals (13) than any other Red Bulls player in the league this season, while he is the youngest player in MLS this term to have registered 10+ direct goal involvements.

Back in 2024, Hall became the youngest player in franchise history to score a goal (16 years, 87 days old) and also became the second-youngest player in MLS history, only behind Freddy Adu.

Hall also became the youngest player in MLS history to score a hat-trick when he netted three times against the Columbus Crew back in May, which helped earn him a spot on the 2026 MLS All-Star roster.

The teenager signed his deal ahead of the Red Bulls’ league meeting with the Philadelphia Union, and he is keen to continue his growth at the club.

“I’m really happy to sign a new contract with Red Bull New York,” Hall told the club website.

“This club has been a huge part of my development, and I’m grateful for everyone who has believed in me and helped me get to this point.

“I feel like I’m continuing to grow as a player, and I’m excited to keep working, keep improving and help this team achieve our goals.”

NYRB are eighth in the Eastern Conference following a three-game winless run (D1 L2), drawing 1-1 with the Chicago Fire last time out.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last six MLS matches (W4 D2), helping them move within three points of the play-off picture.

New York Red Bulls – Cameron Harper

Cameron Harper scored his first goal of the 2026 season as a substitute against Chicago last time out.

Harper has scored an MLS goal off the bench in four different seasons (2022, 2024–26), tied for most such seasons in Red Bulls history with Tom Barlow, John Wolyniec and Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Philadelphia Union – Milan Iloski

Milan Iloski has recorded a goal contribution in nine straight regular-season games, tied for the second-longest streak in MLS this season.

The only player with a longer streak in MLS this season was Hugo Cuypers, who had a goal contribution in all 11 of his MLS matches in 2026.

MATCH PREDICTION – NEW YORK RED BULLS WIN

The Red Bulls earned a 1–1 draw with an 86th-minute goal last Saturday against Chicago, their fifth draw across all competitions this season. Four of those five draws have featured NYRB scoring a goal in the 70th minute or later.

The Union have earned back-to-back road results after a 1–1 draw at Austin FC on Saturday, which followed a 3–2 win at New York City on August 16.

Philadelphia have allowed at least one goal in each of their last 12 away matches (across all competitions), their longest such run since a 16-game streak spanning 2021 and 2022.

Philadelphia secured a 3–1 win in their first meeting with NYRB this year, as the Union have lost just one of the last 18 meetings across all competitions (W12 D5). The Union have outscored the Red Bulls by a 31-to-12 margin across those 18 matches.
