Rebels in the Pros: NFL Week 3

NFL for college football fans, particularly Ole Miss fans, isn’t all that fun when your best former players aren’t playing. Jaxson Dart is lost for the season while AJ Brown is likely over a month away from returning to a team that might need a new quarterback.

Despite missing the two biggest producers in the league, there were some solid performances by our former Rebels.

Princely Umanmielen got his second sack of this season to go along with two more tackles.

Laquon Treadwell hauled in his only target for a 20 yard reception from Daniel Jones.

Tre Harris had a game in both catches (6) and receiving yards (76). He also led the Chargers with seven targets.

AJ Finley logged three tackles for the Seahawks in their close loss to the Commanders.

Jordan Watkins had two catches on two targets for 60 yards.

DK Metcalf caught three passes for 31 yards and the only Rebel touchdown on Sunday.

And that’s all folks! Evan Engram had two targets and Walter Nolen had a QB hit but neither of those are a productive statistic. At this point it’s all about the former pass catchers and their ability to put up numbers each week in the NFL.

Hey, at least next year we could have more than one quarterback to root for and even a running back! But for now we will gladly pull for those two guys on Saturdays.
