Real Madrid star wins Man of the Match award for performance off the bench vs Roma

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid secured the Man of the Match award in the club’s latest outing, despite not starting the clash.

The Blancos star in question? Endrick.

Real Madrid marked their return to action on the continent a short time ago, making the trip to the Stadio Olimpico for a Champions League meeting with AS Roma.

The aforementioned Endrick was forced to make do with a place on the bench from the off, amid what has been a hugely underwhelming individual campaign to date for the Brazilian.

On the hour mark, though, Endrick was sprung from the bench by José Mourinho. And en route to an explosive late comeback for Real Madrid, the 20-year-old played a leading role.

Endrick was responsible for drawing Los Blancos level five minutes from time, amid an impactful all-round performance.

So impressed were those watching on by the exploits of the young goalscorer, in fact, that despite playing just half an hour, he was rewarded with the Man of the Match trophy in Rome:
