Real Madrid president willing to spend entire transfer budget on Bayern Munich rising star – report

At the time of Real Madrid’s recent presidential election, Florentino Perez promised the fans a Galactico signing if voted back to power and the suspense over the profile kept his name in the headlines through the decisive days.

After winning the election, however, the manager architectured a ploy with Atletico Madrid and submitted a €150 million bid for Julian Alvarez, a player who was never really a target. Nevertheless, the bid did ensure that he kept up his word of making a bid.

The player who was rumoured as the top target at the time, however, was Michael Olise. Perez’s ploy and the sudden silence on the topic, however, hinted that the Frenchman was not a realistic target for this summer.

Perez’s obsession

As reported by Miguel Serrano in a recent update, Michael Olise is still on Perez’s plans, and not just as a side-mission.

The Bayern Munich star is the club president’s ‘Plan A’, ‘Plan B’ and ‘Plan C’, as reported by the journalist, putting into perspective how obsessed Perez is with the player’s potential arrival.

At this point, there is no other player that Perez is even considering as his ‘Galactico’ arrival. Olise is the only option, and the president is prepared to throw the kitchen sink at his acquisition.

All efforts will be made to sign the Frenchman this summer, with Perez prepared to use the entire transfer budget of the club just to bring the winger to the Santiago Bernabeu. 

In fact, that was the reason he pulled the plug on the Enzo Fernandez deal as well, as he plans to channel the same funds towards Olise.

Even if Perez fails to secure his services in the coming weeks, he will be back in Olise’s pursuit in 2027. Just as he was obsessed with Mbappe a few years ago, Olise is the new target.

A complicated operation

Just as Mbappe’s departure from PSG and arrival in Spain required a mission planned over years, Olise’s arrival is not going to be easy by any means for Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich have the winger as a centrepiece in their plans and have no intention of selling him anytime, let alone this season.

For the player to arrive in Spain will thus require a favourable contractual situation, possibly a record fee and a clear stance from the player that he wishes to leave Bayern Munich. 

A transfer this summer, which looks unlikely, is practically impossible without Olise publicly announcing his desire to leave the Bavarians.

While Perez will undoubtedly try, the Frenchman is highly unlikely to don the white colour next season.
