Yanno, for a game in which the Sox only had four baserunners, made opener Ian Seymour look like Clayton Viola-Koufax for four (!) innings, Tampa couldn’t miss on challenges, and started with a leadoff home run by Yandy Diaz, tonight’s 3-1 loss wasn’t all that bad imho. Connelly Early pitched well and Marcelo Mayer absolutely pasted a homer for Boston’s only run:

Meanwhile:

You win some, you lose some. I wish I had more to say. I actually watched the whole game and everything. It was nice and tense and a good was to pass the time until the basketball game started, if nothing else. That’s what baseball does, baby! Even the so-so kind. So so now it’s time to go.
