When you imagined the play, who caught the ball?

If your answer is Pro Bowl wideout Zay Flowers or promising rookie Ja’Kobi Lane, think again. 

The Ravens are in a mire of bad injury luck to their perimeter weapons. Lane fractured his wrist in week 1 and Flowers has been battling a hamstring injury that held him out in week 2. 

The newest update with Flowers is not good news.

Baltimore held its final practice on home turf before a 10-hour flight to Rio, Brazil. They’ll face the Cowboys on foreign soil in just a few days. 

All eyes were focused on Zay Flowers, who has been battling a nagging hamstring injury. But it looks like he’s far from practicing, much less playing on game day.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport also reported it’s unlikely that Flowers plays this week and a week 4 return is more likely.

It’s discouraging after Flowers played so well in Baltimore’s opener against the Colts. The Pro Bowler had 6 receptions for 150 yards and a touchdown. 

In his and Lane’s absences, Lamar Jackson has targeted six-year veteran Rashod Bateman. He had 9 receptions for 88 yards and a score against the Saints. 

Mark Andrews is still there and of course the Ravens can lean on Derrick Henry but Flowers is an instrumental piece in this offense. 

It looks like Baltimore will have to carry on without one of its best players in a key matchup against the Cowboys.
