Rams-Commanders injury report: McDuffie, Curl DNP to start Week 9

· · 2 min read

Just when it seemed like the Los Angeles Rams were getting healthy, the injury bug bit again. Jaylen Watson is being placed on IR and will miss the rest of the season, and Trent McDuffie is back to missing practice.

The Rams released their first injury report of Week 9 on Wednesday and a total of 12 players were listed on it, five of them being non-participants. McDuffie did not practice, nor did Colby Parkinson, Kam Curl or Joe Cardona. McDuffie injured his back last week against the Chargers, Parkinson is still dealing with a rib injury and Curl picked up a foot injury.

There is some good news, though. Myles Garrett, Terrance Ferguson and Ronnie Rivers were all designated to return and were back at practice. None of them have been activated from IR yet but it’s a good sign that they’re practicing again. Rivers was a full participant, and Garrett and Ferguson were both limited.

Matthew Stafford was listed with a right elbow injury but he was still a full participant and he said he’s not worried about it, calling the soreness normal for this time of year.

The Commanders have dealt with injuries, too, losing Jayden Daniels for a period of time earlier this season and Terry McLaurin for the rest of the year. Only one player missed practice due to injury, and that was Treylon Burks with a foot issue.

There are no other major injury concerns on Washington’s side, with three players being limited and three others listed as full – including Daniels with his left elbow injury.
