Maxx Crosby and the Raiders news: Maxx Crosby addresses negativeLas Vegas Raiders are preparing for the 2026 NFL season. There is already some trash-talk going on, however. Miami Dolphins left tackle Patrick Paul recently called Crosby a “hothead.” On Wednesday, the Raiders star defender was asked about the comment, via Vince Sapienza of FOX5 Las Vegas.
“I don’t know what they’re talking about or who is talking about what,” Crosby said. “It is what it is. We’ll see Sunday.”
Crosby, 29, is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. He was almost traded this past offseason but the deal ultimately did not go through. Crosby is now ready to run it back with the Raiders.

He has made five consecutive Pro Bowls heading into the new season. He played in 15 games last year and recorded 10 sacks to go along with 73 combined tackles and 45 solo tackles. Crosby has had at least 10 or more sacks in three of the past four years. In 2023, he recorded a career-best 14.5 sacks.
The Raiders are certainly an intriguing team. They have questions on their roster, but 2026 No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza is likely going to take over QB1 duties at some point this season. With Mendoza and Ashton Jeanty potentially leading the offense for years to come, this Las Vegas team could make noise down the road. Meanwhile, Crosby is set to lead the defense once again.
The Dolphins and Raiders will go head-to-head on Sunday afternoon at 4:25 PM ET to begin the new campaign in what should be a competitive game.
