The Washington Commanders left Philadelphia wondering what could have been, as a few fatal miscues resulted in a tough loss to the Eagles.

Here are some of the quick facts and numbers from the Commanders’ 2026 season opening 24-22 loss in Philadelphia to the NFC East rival Eagles.

• QB Jayden Daniels had a horrific first half as he completed 6 of his 16 passing attempts for only 43 yards, which means Daniels averaged 2.7 yards per attempt.

• Commanders rookie WR Antonio Williams was targeted four times, made four receptions for 64 yards, including a 33-yard reception and a touchdown.

• WR Terry McLaurin was limited to two receptions for only 14 yards.

• The Commanders defense sacked Eagles QB Jalen Hurts three times (Luvu, Oweh, Styles).

• The Commanders’ defense recorded 10 tackles for a loss (the Eagles had only 2). Yet, the Commanders defense gave up big plays of 64, 43, 42, 41, and 22 yards.
