PSG will be aiming to record a third consecutive victory in all competitions before the first international break of the season when they travel to face Marseille on Sunday.

PSG head into Le Classique with plenty of confidence and strong momentum behind them. Luis Enrique’s team produced an outstanding performance in their most recent fixture, cruising to a commanding 6-1 victory in the Champions League.

That emphatic result came after a hard-fought 1-0 league win over Brest last weekend. PSG have combined attacking quality with defensive organisation in recent matches, making them the clear favourites to continue their impressive run.

Luis Enrique faces an important selection issue on the right side of his defence. Achraf Hakimi is considered highly unlikely to play after picking up a right thigh strain during the victory over Brest.

The Morocco international has been limited to specific medical treatment, and his absence could see Warren Zaïre-Emery fill in at right-back.

He is expected to line up in defence alongside Marquinhos and Willian Pacho. Matvey Safonov is also tipped to start in goal.

The reigning champions still have considerable strength in attack, with their main forwards available and in good condition.

Ousmane Dembélé has been in excellent form, while summer arrival Ferran Torres is also set to play a major role in the final third.

João Neves and Vitinha are expected to provide creativity from midfield, helping PSG control the match and find openings in Marseille’s defensive structure.
