PSG submits improved €50 million offer for Ferran Torres

Paris Saint-Germain has submitted an improved €50 million package for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Barcelona reportedly rejected PSG’s previous proposal of €40 million. Discussions are now described as being in the final stage, although the Spanish club has not accepted the improved offer.

PSG’s second proposal represents a major development in the latest transfer news. The transfer should still be considered a rumor until Barcelona accepts the package and Torres completes an agreement with the French club.

Interest from Paris has been present since before the World Cup. Torres dismissed questions about a possible PSG move in June, insisting that he was focused on Spain’s opening match at the tournament.

His position has become more important since then. Torres scored the winning goal in the World Cup final against Argentina, becoming only the second substitute to decide a men’s final after Mario Gotze for Germany in 2014.

SoccerNews covered Torres’ reaction after Spain won the World Cup, with the forward describing the extra-time goal as a moment for the entire country.

The 26-year-old is entering the final season of his Barcelona contract. That situation has reduced the time available for the club to renew his deal or obtain a substantial transfer fee.

Torres also produced his strongest campaign since moving to Barcelona from Manchester City in January 2022. He scored 21 times across all competitions during the 2025/26 season and became the team’s primary central forward following Robert Lewandowski’s departure.

He contributed to Barcelona’s second consecutive league title, scoring in the decisive 2-0 victory over Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

A move to PSG would reunite Torres with Luis Enrique, who worked with him in the Spanish national team. The forward’s ability to play centrally or from either side would give the PSG coach another flexible option across the front line.

Barcelona must now decide whether €50 million is sufficient for a forward who has entered the final year of his contract. Selling Torres would bring a substantial return, but it would also remove one of the team’s most productive attackers before a replacement has been secured.

Status: PSG has submitted a €50 million package after Barcelona rejected an earlier €40 million proposal. Talks are in the final stage, but Barcelona has not accepted the offer and no transfer agreement has been completed.
