The early 2010s were a great time to invest in Michael Fassbender stock, as he was soon to be nominated for two Oscars in three years. In 2014, Fassbender scored his first Academy Award nomination for his supporting performance in 12 Years a Slave, the powerful biopic directed by Steve McQueen. He followed it with a Best Lead Actor nod for his role in the Steve Jobs biopic, and while he didn’t win for either role, he will almost certainly be back on the stage at one point, at least of his talent is any indication. Fassbender is also known for his blockbuster role as David in Ridley Scott‘s Alienfranchise, who he played in both Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. He is also reportedly set to return for a new Alien movie that will likely be released sometime in the next 4–5 years.
