<p><b><i>Aston Villa are closing in on the signing of Luvas Chevalier, the PSG goalkeeper who struggled in his first season at the Parc des Princes.</i></b></p>

<p>There is a lot of talk about the players that PSG could be signing this summer – but the European Champions will also be looking to move players on.</p>
<p>Top of the list is Lucas Chevalier. Last summer&#8217;s €40m addition from Lille has not worked out – he lost his place in goal midway through the season, and it sounds like the club are ready to cut their losses on him already.</p>
<h2>Chevalier lined up for Premier League move</h2>
<p>Journalist Romain Collet Gaudin is <a href="https://x.com/RomainCG75/status/2063349675101438377">reporting</a> that Aston Villa are interested in signing the stopper.</p>
<p>Villa have Emi Martinez as their starting keeper – but he&#8217;s expected to leave the club this summer, creating a perfect space for Chevalier to join as first choice.</p>
<p>The Frenchman has plenty of talent and is still young. He just needs a fresh start, and an upwardly mobile club playing in the Champions League could be a perfect spot for him, especially under a top coach like Unai Emery.</p>
<p>If a good price is found, this could work well for Villa, PSG and the player.</p>
