Texas has had a fantastic month with 10 commitments in the 2027 recruiting cycle. According to several recruiting experts, the Longhorns are on great position to get another one sometime in July.
Steve Wiltfong and Sam Spiegelman of Rivals as well as Eric Nahlin of Inside Texas all put in predictions on Monday morning for Texas to land five-star offensive lineman Ismael Camara out of Gilmer, Texas. He’s the No. 29 prospect nationally, the No. 4 interior offensive lineman, and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas per Rivals industry rankings.
Camara took official visits to Texas A&M, LSU, and Oregon in addition to his trip to Texas on June 12. Apparently, they done enough to gain the lead down the stretch as Camara looks to make his decision in the next few weeks. Oregon is the only other school that logged a prediction for Camara which came back on May 2.

If the Longhorns are successful in getting a commitment from Camara, he would be there third five-star pledge along with cornerback John Meredith and wide receiver Easton Royal, and it firmly position them within the top five classes in the 2027 cycle.
