The Kaduna State Police Command has, during a clearance operation in Makarfi Local Government Area, dismantled two bandits’ hideouts.

DSP Mansir Hassan, the command’s spokesman, in a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna, stated that the operation was carried out by police operatives in collaboration with the Kaduna State Vigilance Service.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the operation was carried out by 8:00 a.m.

Hassan said, “The operatives raided suspected bandits’ enclaves around Durum and Danguzuri general areas, extending to the boundary with Kano State.”

He said the security personnel destroyed two structures at Rugar Mining Goggo and Ungwar Maryamu, Danguzuri, identified as hideouts used by the bandits to hold abducted victims.

Hassan stated that normalcy had been restored in the affected areas, saying that joint security patrols were still ongoing.
