The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, on Wednesday, accused the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi of attacking his integrity and personality.
Umahi said he is ready to challenge Obi to a debate on governance, while wandering when has governance been refused to comedy.
Speaking at the launch of the construction of Akwanga- Jos Super highway, the Minister faulted Obi’s recent remark on some bad roads.
According to Umahi: “The reinforced concrete technology of Tinubu is innovative and I feel so sad when my brother the former governor of Anambra State who should what administration and governance is, I saw on social media when he got to a point where the road is bad, and he snapped it.
“When did governance reduce to comedy? He was attacking my integrity and personality and I’m always ready for a debate with him.
“I feel so sad because governance is the responsibility of everybody, the president is not here today but I have to be the president by performing the job he assigned to me.
“So governance is the job of everybody, look at our infrastructures being destroyed, vehicles parked on our roads, must the president go there and stand there?
“We take responsibility, if anything goes wrong in the ministry of works I take responsibility and not the president, so I want to commend the president very highly.”
