The baby news follows the injury scare that Surtain suffered in Sunday’s 24-14 loss against the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 4. The cornerback went down late in the first half with a non-contact injury to his right ankle. While Surtain’s injury scare left fans uncertain on the severity of it, a source tells The Associated Press on Tuesday that it is “less serious than first feared.”

Broncos’ Pat Bryant was also injured during the 49ers matchup on Sunday, but he has also received good news following an MRI on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The results have not been made public, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reveals that Bryant still appears likely to miss time due to the injury, as the wideout is expected to be sidelined for “a few weeks.”

AP reports that at this time, “Coach Sean Payton has declined to discuss the severity of the injuries, saying he’ll give more information Wednesday when the team releases its first practice report.”

The Broncos are on the road as their next game will be against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, October 11 at 4:05 PM EDT at SoFi Stadium.
